The impressive 2008 Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT is distinguished by its massive wing and engine-cooling air intake on the roof panel. It's completely cloaked in carbon fiber for better performance and enhanced cooling. Based on the Porsche Carrera GT, it is available with various upgrades and design packages.

With 670 horsepower, the Mirage GT can go from 0 to 100 mph in only 3.7 seconds. The exhaust, together with the ecu remap, added an extra 68bhp to the already impressive 612 bhp from the 5.7-liter V10. Some Porsche purists argue that this isn't a real Porsche because of the engine. They say that a true Porsche should have a flat 6 and not a V10.

The Mirage GT remains remarkably close to the original Porsche mechanics. The biggest change to the drive train is the addition of two Turbochargers together with a custom stainless steel exhaust system to the V10 engine. The bumper and the nose of the Mirage GT feature a plethora of new air scoops. At the rear, the second exhaust pipe on each side is the biggest departure from the original design. A massive rear wing is fitted complete with an integrated air brake that pops up under heavy braking. As the large ducts block the view through the rear window, a small camera is fitted behind the cockpit.

Each Mirage GT is designed individually, making each car one of a kind. The 2008 Porsche Gemballa Mirage GT is a limited edition of only 25. They retail for about $300,000.
