About Scuderia Spider 16M

The 2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider 16M is a convertible version of the 430 Scuderia. It was built to commemorate Ferrari's 16th victory in the Formula 1 Constructor's World Championship in 2008, and sports a commemorative plaque on its rear grille and a silver "limited series" plaque just above the air vents at the center of the dashboard.

This special model features a roll bar with a carbon fiber outer shell. Carbon fiber and aluminum line the cabin.

The F430 features a 4.3L V8 engine derived from a shared Ferrari/Maserati design. This new power plant was a significant departure for Ferrari, as all previous Ferrari V8's were descendants of the Dino racing program of the 1950s. The engine produces 503 hp at 8,500 rpm and 350 lb. ft. torque at 5,250 rpm, which makes it possible for the 16M to reach 195.62 mph and go from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.7 seconds.

According to Ferrari, the 16M is faster around the Fiorano testing track than any other Prancing Horse open-top road car that was ever built.

In a unique departure from other racing cars, this track-ready vehicle features a sound system. There's a removable iPod Touch 16 GB dock in the dash that delivers audio to six speakers.

The 2009 Ferrari F430 Scuderia Spider 16M is limited to 499 vehicles. Its sticker price starts at over $300,000.
