The International 9900 is a Class 8 heavy-duty truck built for long haul or highway operations. The 9900i features a rugged "brick looking" design with a conventional cab configuration and is available with both single and sleeper cab options. It is usual for a truck by International to portray this type of look. The design of the 9900i is old fashioned, but it is liked because it reminds people of the good old legendary trucks.
The 9900i comes with a long list of engines and suspensions, which makes it pretty flexible to customer's needs. With gross vehicle weight ratings between 46,000 - 60,600 lbs., the truck can also deal with almost any payload without too much fuss. There are three engines available for the International 9900 including the MaxxForce 9, 11 and 13 units.
The International 9900 is available with 6x4 axle configurations and with various wheel base lengths ranging from 181-240 inches. The truck has a pretty good stability and handling thanks to International's Ride Optimized Suspension system, the ultra-rigid cab floor and the three-point cab mounting system with rear air suspension. This 2008 International 9900 is owned by Whitchurch & Son, a licensed and bonded freight shipping and trucking company, running freight from Chico, California.
