About Kenworth T600

The distinguishing feature of the Kenworth T600 is its aerodynamic design that could potentially conserve up to $25,000 a year in fuel, depending on previous mileage. The T600 was given a massive facelift, which resulted in 22% better fuel economy due to decreased drag. Paccar, owner of Kenworth, received the Clean Air Excellence Award in 2009 from the U.S. Enviornmental Protection Agency.

This 1996 Kenworth T600 was owned by New Zealand, race car driver, Mark Porter also knows as Mark “Didly” Porter. He competed in the Fujitsu V8 Supercar touring car racing series in Australia. Unfortunately, this semi is no longer used by Mark Porter because he was killed in October of 2006, while competing in a support race for the Bathurst 1000.

The T600 is made for line, regional and bulk haul, pick-up and delivery. The T600 accomodates the heavy duty, Class 8, Paccar MX with a B10 design life of one million miles. Although a superb truck, the Kenworth T600 was replaced by the Kenworth T660 in 2008, which featured smoother styling. The T600 was a bit rugged, which was preferred by some.
